Description
Parade holds a very special place in my heart as both an incredibly moving piece of theater as well as a dream role that I never thought would happen. The show is based on the tragedy of Leo Frank, a Jewish northerner living with his southern wife Lucille (played by Alicia Teeter) in Atlanta who is accused of raping and murdering a fourteen year old girl. This production was based on the revisions originally done at the Donmar Warehouse theater which shrank the cast and arrangements down to a chamber piece more than the large production it had on Broadway when it won the Tony awards for Best Book and Best Score in 1999.
