I have loved the Chess concept album since the ’80s, but it is also one of those rarely-performed shows that has been tinkered with so often over the years that no one really agrees on the best version of it. It was the first show I did during the COVID years, and although that presented challenges, I was incredibly happy be back on stage and to get to use the bass-end of my voice in playing Molokov and sing this great score.
