As a singer, working on productions with a full orchestra is such a joy, and one that has become rarer and rarer these days. After doing Chess the previous season, I was happy to return as Herbie in Gypsy. I had known Melinda Meeng (Rose) for a long time, but never had the opportunity to work with her. I had never met Marah Sotelo (Louise) before our first rehearsal. The sense of family with the three of us was so strong, even with few rehearsals, that it made it a show I would have loved to do for a much longer run.
