I’ve loved Urinetown since it came out: the goofy comedy, the meta style, the turning of tropes upside-down, and the music is so happy! I loved Cladwell’s song “Don’t Be the Bunny” so much that I sang it in my Feinstein’s cabaret, so I jumped at the opportunity to return to Ray of Light after playing another villain last year as Franklin Hart Jr. in 9 to 5. Villains are so much fun and they let me play in the lower part of my vocal register. But if the villain is wrong, why does playing him feel so right!?
