Description

When I first read the script for Everything That’s Beautiful (about a year before we opened) I knew immediately that I really wanted to play the role of Luke. He’s the father of an eight-year-old transgender girl who recently started transitioning and although he wants to be supportive, he has no idea how to handle the situation. It resonated with the very familiar feeling of wanting to take care of and protect the ones you love, but perhaps making a mess of things along the way in dealing with circumstances that are uncomfortable. The abstract set by Devin Kasper was also one of the most interesting I’ve worked on in a long time.
