Description
The middle show of my “Child Abuse Trilogy,” I played the bachelor doctor who struggles to keep the household running smoothly and the children under control (through physical abuse and giant needles filled with sedatives) while his widowed brother descends into depression. This production, done by Lamplighters (known for their G&S/operetta repertoire), was the first to use the full orchestrations for the show since the Broadway run. Here’s wishing that Lamplighters continues to branch out and do more musical theater as singing with a huge professional orchestra was a wonderful experience.
